Spring has arrived in Melrose and the grounds at Dingleton are looking fresh and new. David and Colin have been working hard over the winter with Dave Selby repairing lights in the entrance road, renovating the old bus stop whilst managing the constant challenge of keeping the grounds tidy. Now that spring is here you will see that the ride on mower has replaced the snow plough and it will be working hard as new growth bursts into life.

Another major project has been the completion of the new Petanque area at the top of the grounds. David, Colin and Dave have worked hard getting it ready for the games to begin.
Residents interested in playing are invited to get in touch with Peter 01896 820336. Beginners are welcome and you don’t need your own boules, although bring them along if you have them.
Playing games together is a very pleasant way to get to know your neighbours. A bit of friendly competition, fresh air and a good chat can be great fun. Petanque is not too strenuous and it is not difficult to learn so get in touch and join in the fun. All we need now is some warm sunshine.
